For our lunch reception, we chose Our Place on Darling, which just a two minute walk from the church where we'll be having our ceremony. Their upstairs courtyard just spells cozy for our 25 guests, for which we're likely to have canapés and drinks rather than the 3-course sit-down menu. Lee liked how the courtyard felt more like someone's backyard rather than a fancy restaurant.

Although, I'm trying to think up ways of dressing the place up without breaking the bank and considering the short time frame I would have amidst all the other preparations. I'm also still unsure about the "army" of friends I might be able to get on hand to help with things, but generally I do have a vague simple idea on what I'd like to do with the place.

It's not as small as the photo makes it out to be, but God willing, the weather would be great for that typical outdoor-sy Australian atmosphere on an early autumn day.

A little bit of white netting and trailing red and silver ribbons maybe? Hmm...
