An Out of the Box Wedding
Staring at wedding planners, budgets, magazines, bridal pictures and unending repetitive lists of questions related to organizing a wedding has thoroughly confused me. Things have barely begun and already I'm feeling stressed out. It's no wonder people elope of just forget about the whole reception.
I am rather tempted to forget the whole affair and stick to the bare bones registry. But deep down, I really want something meaningful that's about Lee and I, which I sincerely want to share with my family and friends.
Swept up by the wedding marketing menagerie, I realised doing what's in every other magazine or website would make our wedding so generic. When was the last time you went to a wedding and actually remembered it?
As much as the things I've brainstormed thus far doesn't feel like anything unique, I know we want to make it memorable for everyone we'll be sharing the day with. Something that would exude our personality as an individual and a couple. We're both in the creative industry, me in entertainment and Lee a cartoonist, would also mean there would be certain expectations. I can't help it, I've been drilled to always think out of the box!
I sent Lee a first draft of our wedding planner tonight, and with that he said,
production schedule for wedding lah, just need budget and look like line producingYeah, I downloaded the budget and wedding planner from Bride Online, which are both in excel sheets, and they feel exactly like my job! Beh.

Don't forget that you ought to have fun and remember this day for the rest of your life - as cheesy as that sounds. It's your day not anyone else's. ^.^

Hehe. Happy brainstorming and planning! Enjoy every moment of it because you will miss it when the big day is over - in the blink of an eye!
