We met online. No, not at a dating site. And no, neither of us were out looking for a relationship when we met. We'd merely found each other by reading each other's blogs. So, I guess you could say we were silently "stalking" each other from sometime in 2003.

Fast forward to April 2006, Lee emailed me out of the blue. A really long email to boot. I felt connected with him in that email, which shortly after was preceeded by boundless daily IM messages, Skype calls, real phone calls... And finally the real life meet up in August 2006 where I thought, "Gawd, he's really tall!" But despite that, the sparks continued to fly higher than his 6ft self. ^_!

I decided after that, to quit my job and move to Sydney for a while. Which I did for about five months. It was a discovery of how our lives could fit together. I met his family and friends. I asked myself if I liked Sydney. And if all the things we'd shared with each other in our online relationship were as real as we imagined it to be. Of course, it wasn't our imagination. It was the truth of our real selves revealed to each other all this while. And I was really happy being with him. The daunting idea of moving countries and leaving behind an illuminating career just paled in comparison to wanting to be with Lee. I don't think I would've wanted it any other way.

Lee proposed to me on a lovely cloudy autumn day, April 27th 2007.

And yes, I said yes.
