midnite lily's: midnite lily turns 6 & 28

Six years and still blogging! It's happy anniversary to my blog, and a wonderfully happy 28th birthday to me! *^_^*

I think it's amazingly significant how my blog anniversary coincides with my birthday though it was completely unintentional. Admittedly, my blog's been a significant part of my life, not just in recording my thoughts that began as (depressing) inane ramblings of what I did every day, but of reflection, release and recreation. I'm not about to go on about how it's evolved because I've already done that. But friends who've followed me here would know that it is my blog that's brought me to Sydney. Which is quite an exciting and significant marker of change in my life right now. Surreal as everything may be, I have to say that for all the drab birthdays I've put myself through while growing up - life after mid-20s is getting better, and it's taken a lot of acceptance to come this far. Most importantly, I'm happy.

I had this whole idea of writing an entry about blogger responsibility and all that serious nonsense coinciding with the sued bloggers case for my blog anniversary. In the end I felt that it was just overkill. What the hey. Six years and still going strong. Hits don't matter to me. And I've gained so much from up-keeping my corner in cyberspace this long. It's contentment and personal satisfaction. What more can this birthday blogger ask for? *^_^*
