KUALA LUMPUR: Of late, snail mail has been taking longer to reach its destination, and letters have been delivered to the wrong houses. ... ~The Star, Snail Mail Woes
How about mail that
never arrives?! Lee sent me a letter in June 2006 that never arrived, and he thought I had ignored it. Blah. I wonder now about mails I never knew that was sent, but disappeared into the Pos Malaysia triangle.
“When I visited the Pos Malaysia office here (Puchong), the staff told me that because of short of personnel, there was nothing they could do to improve the service,” he said.
More like they didn't care about improving the service! The Puchong post office is the one responsible in delivering mails to my area.
Kajang resident Bulbir Singh said the postman had on several occasions left a “not at home” card in his mailbox when there were people at home. “When I checked with the post office, no one could give me a credible answer,” said the 65-year-old retiree.
Fashionasia had exactly the
same problem. But after making a report, she was
asked to retract it, otherwise the postman would lose his job! WTF?!

im glad its highlighted in the papers...but the thing is....the way the management over at POS handle complaints is rediculous....(too long a story to elaborate)....
One thing for sure, They absolutely made me regret I ever lodge my complaint although I am in no wrong....I retracted my complaint in the end....I had no choice.

I have countless incidents where my mail has been lost...even registered mail.....the good ppl at the pos simply said..'Saya tak tau lah'
there are many times, where i sent mails to different countries (sending them at the same time) and the only one didnt make it was the one heading to Malaysia. Couldnt help but feeling that the 'lost in transmission' happened after it actually gets into Malaysia.
And then, there are many instances where the postman seems to be sufferring from bad eyesight or simply didnt bother to read the address and deliver mails that is addressed to streets a few kilometers away.

I've lost heaps of things (or had heaps of things lost) in the mail. Many things I've sent ahve disappeared and many things sent to me never arrived [I hope my Pipa strings arrive soon].
I asked a guy from church who worked for Australia Post and he told me that basically, if it didn't arrive at the other end, it'll never get there.

The only experience I got from Pos Malaysia wasn't from Pos Malaysia. It was Customs.
Otherwise, I have received all my mail. I guess the postmen "servicing" my street are nice people. :P

Dumb - one word for them. They charge extra for letters , parcels but lousy service. The worst thing would be putting other people's letter in your postbox! *sigh*
For your previous entry, home is the one place I can never leave. Home beats every place on earth! :D But I do hope you're enjoying your stay in Sydney *big hugs*

Thieves working within Pos Malaysia! I live abroad and had mailed lost on many occasions that I lost count.
Now I will only mail it via registered or insured. Still such mail are lost but at least I get reimburst. I am sure other fel the same way. It's a serious crime to steal mails but the Malaysian government is turn an eye blind. Gifts that are in small boxes are mostly lost for ever.
I mailed a box of Harrods biscults for mothers day and it must be lost in some body else stomach.
It's really disgusting that Malaysia pos has gone to such 3 rate services. I hope the Government can impose a severe fine or other form of penalty to these thieves working within Pos Malaysia.
On the other hand the mail always arrived in Singapore irrespective register or insured or not. I feel ashame to be Malaysian.

I had just sent a complaint to Pos Malaysia as well.
They always delivered the wrong mails to my mailbox.
But, one of the email bounced back. :(

Subject: The dificiency of Pos Malaysia's mailman
Dear Sir,
I would like to make a complaint on Pos Malaysia delivery service.
The postman deliver the wrong mails to wrong address everytime.
I am staying at B3-12, Jalan Indah 2/10, Red Ruby phase 2 shop apartment,
but i always receives mails that belongs to B3-12, Jalan Indah 2/6, Red Ruby
phase 1 shop apartment.
The address of phase 1 and 2 obviously different but the mails still got
wrongly delivered.
I insert the mails back to the mailbox again, but the mails thats belongs to
phase 2 send back to me again.
For your information, these two blocks of apartment are not link with each
other, meaning, we will still have walk across the road to get to another
block.
And it's obvious that the two phase of apartments are near each other., but
each of the buildng does have dedicated mailboxes..
It happens since last year and the situation has never been improves.
This is very disappointing as it's really inconvenience for us to handling
over the wrongly delivered mails to the correct recipient every month.
This shows that there is still room for Pos Malaysia for improvement, please
urge the postman deliver mails that belongs to B3-12, Jalan Indah 2/6, Red
Ruby phase 1 Shop Apartment to the correct recipient, it's the next building
after crossing the road from Jalan Indah 2/10 Red Ruby phase 2 shop
apartment., it's the bulding with the 'Indian mamak' restaurant.., and the
street address for Red Ruby phase 2 is Jalan Indah 2/4 and Jalan Indah 2/6..
Thank you and i hope i won't receive any wrongly delivered mails again., and
the tenant of of phase 2 will get their mails ontime instead of waiting for
munually handling from my family to theirs mailbox.
Regards,
Miss Lim

The company that took over Pos Malaysia governemnt seems incapable to do a good job and probably like many other bumiputra companies. They are just there just to suck up whatever profit they can take and eventually leave the bones for the government to bury later. It's sickening the Government never learnt.

the road for Red Ruby phase 2 are JLn 2/10. Phase 1 and 2 are divided by block A,B,C,D, so it only one address for B3-12 existed. The postman have not wrong delivery
