Dinner at Tony Roma's, Pyramid

Tony Roma's unofficially opened at Sunway Pyramid, and the curious foodie I was made sure it was a recommended spot for dad's birthday dinner last night. Make sure you've had your lunch before you take a peek at this... Hahah...

Tony Roma's menu

The biggest kink about dining at Tony Roma's was of course the fact that it was kosher (halal) here. I've heard everyone yelling, "What's Tony Roma's without their PORK RIBS?!!" Hahah.. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get to try them in Jakarta or Manila, even when I had the chance to. So I can't compare. But maybe I'll get to do that in Sydney, eh?

We had my bro's gf, Debbie along with us last night, who incidentally did a review of Tony Roma's for The Star recently. So we had a bit of help ordering what was recommended.

Dad ordered the sirloin steak, which he didn't let me take a photo of. And the pic of the Strawberry Mango Romanita I ordered was too blurry to post. Heheh...

But of all the dishes, I only liked the Kick'n Shrimp and TR's Chocolate Avalanche. I haven't honestly tasted any good ribs anywhere... Whether it was at TGIF Philippine's Pork Baby Back Ribs or Roadhouse Grill's... So not even Tony Roma's Bountiful Ribs tickled my bountiful appetite for good food. Everything last night was mediocre, save for the whopping RM400 bill (for five people)!! *chokes*

Hi Zona,

Natasha here. Not sure if you remember me. We met a couple of times. Came across your blog while looking up Tony Romas.

Hmmm strange, Doug and I just tried it recently and we thought the ribs were fab! Though the drinks were somewhat watered down...

Anyway I understand you're moving to Sydney... take care and all the very best.

hi Natasha! yes, i remember you ^_^ maybe it's just me, or that m not much a fan of ribs. they all seem to taste the same. heheh... Tks!
