First Chrissy

from getty images I'm missing Christmas already. I know it hasn't arrived yet with the countdown beginning with the First Sunday of Advent this coming Sunday, but this will be my first Christmas away from home. The thought of it is homesick manure, and I'm trying to forget the spread we've had the last two Chrissy's in our own home to stop the frog croaking in my throat. Instead, I've thought about what I could do to Lee's to make it feel more like Christmas at home. It can't be so hard when I recall all the wonderful deco I found in stores when I was in Perth just before Chrissy two Decembers ago.
As if my worries where relieved, one of the first things Lee's mum said to me when I met her last Saturday was that she had bought a tree for me. I thought that was just the sweetest thing.
Now I'll just need to re-organize the studio to make space for the tree this weekend... among other things. I just wish I packed and brought along my copy of The Christmas Mystery to help get me into the advent mood. Ah, well...
Hmm... I shall reminisce my old Christmas favourites and make gingerbreadmen, homemade choc chip cookies, frosted honey brownies, send Christmas cards, hang candycanes on the tree...

Then again, you'll be celebrating a true blue aussie Christmas here. :) Now that isn't such a bad tradeoff isn't it?
