I <3 Vietnamese food!
I met up with YM while in Singapore and had an awesome foodie experience. The both of us share an amazing love for Vietnamese food (and she can make an awesome spring roll complete with the Nước chấm!), so she took me to Song Trang, just beside Plaza Singapura for lunch yesterday. OMG! I could've died blissfully stuffed from everything we ordered.
Warning! Drool fest ahead!

Pork spring roll dumpling
Tastes amazing with the Nước chấm dipping sauce.

Lotus Stem salad
How can you resist these healthy salads when they're light and filling enough?

Minced beef wrapped in betel nut leaf

Vegetable soup & rice

Braised Pork Belly in Coconut Juice
(Thit Heo Kho Nuoc Dua)
This is my favourite and I rate this better than the Chinese braised Pork Belly in Soy Sauce (dong po)!

Pork vermicelli
I'll go back to Song Trang again, given a chance. Or even better - I want to go to Vietnam!!

I usually go to Sao Nam at Tung Shin Terrace when I have a craving for Vietnamese food. There's another outlet at Plaza Hartamas (or is it Damas?), but haven't tried that particular venue.

blasphemy!!!! to say that the vietnamese version surpass the dong po meat....
i had the real deal....the one in Hangzhou by the West Lake...a perfect square chunk of pork belly braised in wine and other spices of course..the thing that made the difference, it was done in the small purple clay bowl...the same type of clay they used in those teapots...

lol... well, if i tasted a better dong po maybe i'd change my mind. but if u had this version - omg! it's just light enough on your tummy. somehow soy sauce just feels heavy.
take me to Hangzhou then =P i wouldn't know how to order myself anyway. hahah...
