"Mat-deka" & image taken frm TV Smith Malaysian patriotism is the christening of the Mat Cemerlang on the eve of independance - hey, it's legal if you're pillon riding with the Jalur Gemilang in dangerous groups milling quickly around other cars carelessly like swarms of flies. And they were everywhere on the streets tonight, even escorted by outriders at some points. Life is cheap in Malaysia, and the old Mat Rempits have gained their independance from the law. pooh.

There's nuthin' like celebrating independance day at an English pub in KL. Cheers to a country that embraces stupidity. Merdeka, Mat-deka! Merdeka!
