The farce of a job, ended as a farce. I just feel somewhat cheated of the ending. Like after you've been so faithful to the point of burn-out, then you get burned back just because you decided to not to play the game.

Anyway, I found out this afternoon that I am now officially a part of the "lifestyles of the poor and unemployed" effective June 1st. A month too soon. Short-changed. My boss decided to take my first resignation letter (which he conveniently tore up after talking me into reconsidering, remember?) and consider the month of May as my 1 month notice. How fucked up is that? I'm just fortunate my BFG was there at that moment of the dreaded phone call. Despite being ecstatic the week before that I was finally leaving the company, I somehow didn't count on this scenario, and felt this depressing sinking feeling come over me. He has admitted to me being manipulative, and I feel a fool for knowing that and letting him do this to me. Yet, I somehow feel it's more ironic that he told off a previous EP a while ago that he was a bad EP. Tsk.

But I'm not going to dwell on this. There's a blessing in disguise here somewhere, I know it. I'm just thankful, despite everyone's egging on that I should go to Labour court on this, that I'm not one of the few freelancers in the company who've not been paid their 3-4 months salary yet! I'm not the revengeful sort. I started out there and have had alot of good memories, got to do amazing projects, met alot of awesome people and had my chance to grow. And I'm going to leave remembering all that and not wishing anyone ill. Because I believe in karma.
