The Earth Moved!
I'm going to sound very ulu-fied (primitive, bumpkin?) but, my first earthquake!! O_O Darn!
We were on the 17th floor of our temporary apartment "office" when suddenly we felt the whole buidling move. It was kinda subtle. Not the mad rattling you see on TV, but I felt really sick in the tummy and lightheaded after that. I still do actually. Apparently it was about 5.6 or 5.9 magnitude.
Brr... Funny, you'd think that after reading all the what to do in an earthquake and watching documentaries, I'd know what to do after. Instead, I was flipping TV channels to find out the magnitude and thinking to go online to check out the breaking news. =P

My first tremor was during breakfast at the hotel. Swirling orange juice was a subtle hint. Net one was nineteen floors up; "I feel the hi-rise move, under my feet..."
In Jakarta, it's not the earthquakes that worry - for now. There's always Mt Merapi.
Good weekend!

I'll tell you a funny story abou when Sydney had a small quake.
I was having lunch with two of my friends, Evan and Stelios. We were sitting on some benches, and Stelios released wind. When it happened, Evan and I were really impressed, as we felt the whole bench move (and it was a very solid bench made from bricks too ...)
Anyway, we went back to work, and everyone was in a big excited mode ... apparently the bench moving wasn't Stelios releasing wind at all ... it was an earthquake! :-)
[Or maybe Stelios wind caused the earthquake ... who knows!] :-)
