Indonesia are photos up!

I've finally posted up photos of my work trip to Indonesia. Excuse the photogallery's header and some other bugs, I'm still in the midst of customizing Gallery after the headache upgrade from version 1 to 2. Codes are not my forte. But you can leave comments by clicking the little speech bubble icon on the upper left corner.

The more exciting photos you'll see comes from my trip to two volcanoes - Day 2 in the Bandung album. Dormant ones, though. Kawah Putih in Gunung Patuha is my favourite. The milky turqoise lake makes it so eeriely peaceful. As much as the sight of it is a breath of fresh air, I didn't stay too long to breathe in the sulphur.

The other volcano I visited was Tangkuban Prahu's Kawah Ratu. This volcano has another crater that was active, Kawah Domas, but I couldn't afford the time and money (we have to hire a guide) to walk in. Maybe another time. Or maybe I will be more enticed to see Gunung Bromo instead.

Now I can cross out number 11 on my Things to do before I turn 30 list. Well, okay... technically I didn't hike up to these volcanoes though... The craters were all accessible by car. *+_+*

p.s. I also have a video I edited for work presentation. But I'll do a personal version and post it up later, I hope =P

so beautiful... :(

The lake looks like the sea, is it near the volcano? is it hot? can go diving in it? hm.. probably can find GOLD! :P

nice to meet u

thanks ace & ^_^ seadev

nice to meet u too, kampungkai. Kawah Ratu was hot. we're not allowed to go down, but the smell of sulfur was much stronger. the lake at Kawah Putih is inside the volcano. it's practically the crater. the water's warm, but I don't know if it's safe to swim. just standing there for 15 mins already feels dangerous inhaling the sulfur.
