Pierced Virgin
What started out as an obligatory annual Christmas shopping event became a memorably fun and exciting day, thanks to Naz. ^_^ Hahah... I always hated the shopping mall crowds, especially towards the year end where, while everyone is taking their annual leaves, even the weekdays are crowded with people milling about with their lil monkeys. I tend to do my Christmas shopping alone in smaller, less congested areas. But this year due to an unexpected project, it just had to be done on a weekend. The horror!!
So Naz and I went to 1Utama and began our flurry of exercising our consumer rights, over my list of Christmas gifts. Upon looking at a couple of trinkets at the Tribal Spirit store, I got all excited about the amazing boho earrings that were going for a steal. The only problem was, after 26+ years on this planet, my ears were never pierced. I rattled on to Naz about a birthday gift from a collegemate for my 21st - a really sweet pair of earrings that I had kept and refused to let my collegemate exchange after revealing to him that I could never use them. Hahah... I thought it was hillarious. And even though I'd grown almost keen to pierce my ears recently, I had never built up the courage to get them done.
Until I was suddenly dragged out of the store by Naz, and in to Dragonfly just across the corridor! He got me to sit down and barely say a word but laugh hysterically at the madness of getting my virgin earlobes pierced! The lady doing it was trying to ask me a couple of questions. Other than choosing the type of stud, I really don't remember anything else. All I remember was Naz telling her to do it before I change my mind.
I was mentally agonizing over the pain and remembering all the horror stories I've heard, and before I knew it she was done with the first earlobe, right side. The left, because I was anticipating it, hurt alot more than the first. Other than that... I'm still trying to get used to my punched out ears...
When I got home and showed it off to my dad with a grin, he laughed and asked, " What finally gave you the courage, after so long?!" Nyek.
Virgin no more! =P
I'll proly wait til I'm 50 before I pierce any other parts... =P
