Weekend Company - part 1

The weekend started out with TGI Friday's Mojito... and ended with a beer just two hours ago. But it wasn't about the getting high or pissed drunk, it was all about the company.

Seadevilyn persuaded me to Zouk Velvet last night, even though I didn't feel quite up to it. But then I thought, what the heck... I've been sick and couped up at home for 5 weeks! And minus the wedding, I felt almost alien to human interaction. So was it one helluv an adrenalin rush from the time I had a work meeting at TGIF to dancing the night out til Velvet's lights came on.

I was just thrilled enough to chill out with Seadev, my girlfriends, BL & RT as enough entertainment for the whole evening. But after the latter group was gone and it was just Seadev and I, we seemed to have caught the attention of this Danish guy who started chatting with us. All through the time he kept our company, I knew for certain that Seadev and I were never going to go "our own way". I guess it's the rule that "if you come together, you leave together" that we kept. Not that I'd ever entertain the thought of going home with a complete stranger. I mean, it's nice once in a while to meet people no matter where you are, but it's easier to value (and size up) a person sans alcohol and loud jarring music. What can I say, even when I'm having fun (and high on alcky), I'm still a serious person. =P

And even though I said yes to a dance with this bloke (under her watchful eye), what really went through my mind was more of my longstanding friendship with Seadev. We've been through so much with each other right through college, working in the same company, having the most ridiculous of arguments to fighting over stupid things I've said in my blog about her. Honestly, I respect her for putting up with all my non-committal best friend crap... All because while growing up, I haven't had that many close female friends in my life who has stood by me all through the years without having back-stabbed me at one point or another. So girl, if you're reading this... this is a long overdue THANK YOU with a *BIG HUGE HUG* for being the bestest friend a girl could ever have! *^_^*
no, I'm not drunk! =P

it's a good feeling for one to know that he/she is still as "laku" but at times one has to have at least a toe on the ground to actually know what is happening. Most cases .. it's cloud nine all the way and it can get pretty dangerous !! Guys are guys .... oowww owww... wwoooooooo !!
